V době Vánoc lampy ručně rozsvěcuje mistr lampář. Vedle klasického veřejného osvětlení totiž spravujeme také více než 400 stožárů plynového osvětlení. Tady se koukněte na jeden z nejkrásnějších! You won't find a bridge like this just anywhere. It’s 700 years old, decorated with baroque statues and is the only one in the world to be lit by gas lamps. They’re now controlled remotely from THMP's monitoring centre. At Christmas time, the lamps are lit by hand by a master lamplighter. Vedle klasického veřejného osvětlení spravujeme více než 400 stožárů plynového osvětlení a přes 1 300 přisvětlení přechodů pro chodce. Provozujeme také mobilní aplikaci Praha svítí, pomocí níž mohou občané hlásit poruchy, ale i nelegální reklamy nejen na stožárech veřejného osvětlení. Besides conventional public lighting, we also manage more than 400 gas lights and the lights at over 1,300 pedestrian crossings. We also run the Prague Shines mobile app; citizens can use this to report break downs, but also illegal advertisements, and not only on public lighting. Spravujeme více než 138 000 stožárů veřejného osvětlení a každý den máme v ulicích města minimálně 70 techniků, kteří o ně pečují. We manage more than 138,000 lampposts and have at least 70 technicians on the city streets every day to look after them. Zasazujeme se o proměnu Prahy ve smart city. Na začátku roku 2021 jsme v pražských parcích začali testovat chytré osvětlení, které umí dálkově komunikovat s dispečinkem a v průběhu noci snižovat svou intenzitu. Část stožárů pak dokáže měnit svou intenzitu i v závislosti na pohybu chodců či pracovat v průběhu noci se změnou teploty světla – v pozdějších hodinách směrem k teplým odstínům a k ránu pak ke studenějším.

Díky našim chytrým zapínacím místům dokážeme spínat veřejné osvětlení nebo zjistit jeho poruchu přímo z našeho dispečinku v reálném čase. Zapínacích míst je v Praze přes 1 500. We are committed to turning Prague into a smart city. At the beginning of 2021, we started testing smart lighting in Prague’s parks. They communicate remotely with the control centre to lower their intensity during the night. Some of the lights can even change their intensity depending on pedestrian movement or change the light’s “temperature” during the night - with warmer shades in the later hours and colder shades in the morning.

Our smart switching points allow us to switch on public lighting or detect a failure directly from our control centre, all in real time. There are over 1,500 switching points in Prague. A principios de 2021, en los parques de Praga empezamos a probar iluminación inteligente que puede comunicarse a distancia con la sala de control y reducir su intensidad durante la noche. Algunos de los postes también pueden cambiar su intensidad en función del movimiento de los peatones o funcionar durante la noche con un cambio en la temperatura de la luz: hacia tonos más cálidos durante la noche y por la mañana hacia tonos más fríos.

The most magical view from the Old Town Hall is during Advent, when hundreds of lights light up both the square and Prague’s Christmas tree. This is an undertaking we gladly accept year after year. Prague’s claim to be the most beautiful Christmas destination in the world is no idle boast! Kubistická lampa architekta Emila Králíčka byla vytvořena v roce 1913. Sloup z umělého kamene tvoří na sebe postavené komolé jehlany. Kubistický tvar má i lucerna z kovu a skla, netradiční součástí lampy je kamenné sedátko. Lampa se každý den rozsvítí současně s pražským veřejným osvětlením. The architect Emil Králíček created the cubist lamppost in 1913. The truncated cones are made of artificial stone. The metal and glass lantern is also cubist in shape, the stone seat simply adds to the lamp’s uniqueness. Being part of Prague’s public lighting, the lamp lights up at the same time as the rest of the city. La lámpara cubista del arquitecto Emil Králíček fue creada en 1913. La columna está hecha de trapezoides de piedras artificiales. La lámpara también tiene forma cubista, está hecha de metal y cristal y tiene un inusual asiento de piedra. Vertikální plastika času z roku 1985, mimochodem vážící rovných 5 tun, nese kromě klasických hodin i tabuli s aktuálním časem ve světě od Tokia až po New York a pod naším vedením prošla v nedávné době rozsáhlou rekonstrukcí. Art and Time. Of all the public clocks we take care of in Prague, this is a true rarity. The vertical sculpture of time from 1985, which, incidentally, weighs 5 tons, has a traditional clock as well as a board with the exact time around the world, from Tokyo to New York. I když se o Praze říká, že je stověžatá, ve skutečnosti má věží nejméně pětkrát tolik! Řada z nich nese věžní hodiny, které byly od nepaměti důležitou součástí každodenního života města. Jejich hodinové stroje plné ozubených koleček propojených s táhly jsou dokonalými příklady technické zručnosti. V servisní péči jich máme několik desítek. Řídíme je dálkově přímo z našeho dohledového centra, odkud také ihned zjistíme, pokud se zpožďují nebo třeba praskne žárovka, která je v noci osvětluje. Po západu slunce se jako první rozsvítí nejstarší památky a potom postupně další, každé tři minuty jedno století. The National Theatre is one of more than 140 Prague monuments specially illuminated to fully highlight their historical uniqueness and beauty. The lighting is controlled remotely from our monitoring centre and, believe it or not, age plays a key role here. As the sun sets, the oldest monuments are the first to be lit up, then the next oldest, one century at a time, every three minutes. El Teatro Nacional es uno de los más de 140 monumentos de Praga que iluminamos especialmente para resaltar mejor su singularidad histórica y su belleza. To všechno doplňuje zařízení TYFLOSET umožňující akusticky sdělit informace o odjezdech spojů pro nevidomé.
We have created a comprehensive solution for a public transport shelter with built-in digital screens that uniquely combine practical and commercial purposes. The new digital panels provide information on transport times and announce traffic incidents. This is further complemented by TYFLOSET, a device giving audio information on departure times for the blind.
Hemos creado una solución integral para marquesinas de transporte público digitalizadas que combina el uso práctico y comercial de pantallas digitales (DCLP = Digital City Light Poster) integradas en las marquesinas. Los nuevos paneles digitales informan sobre los horarios y anuncian incidentes de tráfico. We used this modern advertising medium to present the unique, architecturally valuable, complex of residential villas in Baba, Prague. You can see how it works here.
